Knielende figuur by Oskar Schlemmer, 1931

Oskar Schlemmer, a Bauhaus legend, loved to turn humans into living geometry. In this 1931 sketch, he creates a kneeling figure using fluid, overlapping loops that look less like anatomy and more like a wire sculpture in motion. The head is a perfect sphere, and the limbs stretch out in elegant curves, showing his obsession with space and rhythm. This approach foreshadowed his famous 'Triadic Ballet,' where dancers wore geometric costumes that transformed them into moving architecture.
