Nine Dragons Scroll - Painting Core 2
Legend has it that Song Dynasty master Chen Rong would get thoroughly drunk, splash ink to create stormy clouds, and then paint his dragons in a trance-like state. Here, a fierce, scaly dragon writhes through the dark mist, its claws reaching out with dynamic energy as if bursting from the heavens. This section is from his famous 'Nine Dragons' scroll, a masterpiece where the empty space is just as important as the ink, suggesting the vast, cloudy sky the creature inhabits.
