Five Dragons Scroll - Colophon
This scroll features fluid, cursive calligraphy that serves as a poetic tribute to the mystical power of dragons. Chen Rong, a Song Dynasty master famous for painting dragons with splashed ink—legend says he often worked while intoxicated—brings that same wild spirit to these characters, praising the 'wondrous brush' and 'divine energy.' The text reads like a breathless review of a masterpiece, mentioning 'hiding claws' and 'clouds following mist.' The red seals on the left act as a historical fingerprint, a VIP guest list of collectors who have treasured this piece over the centuries.
