Press Redoubt
Eugeniusz Ludwik Dąbrowa-Dąbrowski
1908
This vibrant 1908 poster served as an exclusive invitation to the 'Press Redoubt,' a fancy masked ball held at the Old Theatre in Kraków. The whimsical green face—sporting a heart on its forehead and bells in its flowing blue hair—looks like a playful carnival mask, perfectly capturing the festive, decorative spirit of the Art Nouveau movement. The bold Polish text at the bottom adds a touch of high-society exclusivity, warning guests that the party starts at 9 PM and entry is strictly by personal invitation. It’s a colorful snapshot of a glamorous night out where if you weren't on the list, you were definitely out!
